Do not get caught up in the marketing hype, a Board is a Board, Dusty Boards are customizable based upon your intended use, so you determine whether it be used as a Cutting, Slicing, Charcuterie, Serving, Bread, Grazing, Cocktail or Prep board. To guide you, “serving” type boards are typically less than 1” thick and “cutting” type boards are typically greater that 1.25” think. If you want a ‘Slicing Board,’ choose to add a juice groove for food items where you want to save the juices. If you want a traditional “chopping” or “cutting” board, choose not to add a juice groove where scrap can be easily scraped off into the trash without interference of a juice groove.
